The Syndicate

Taken by heartless pirates, captives escape and fight to seize the ship for themselves.

After completing a level-0 gauntlet, the players are in control of an aethership, but lost in the astral sea, with no path back home. As they explore, the Syndicate they challenged hunts them, seeking to put in their place those who took one of their valuable aetherships.

The Syndicate provides a level-0 adventure that provides players with a ship and crew to start an adventure in Aetherdark. After this introductory adventure, the Syndicate provides a prolonged threat, with a collection of encounters to hound the players as they explore, or to contest their efforts if they try to fight the Syndicate directly.
